Sweater Weather Foxy Ornament

I really enjoy painting ornaments around the holidays, and have been doing it for years, gifting them to friends and family. So this year I decided to switch up my usual work in Iris to include ornaments!

This is a hand-painted pinewood slice ornament depicting a cute fox dressed for the cold weather, surrounded by a wreath. “JOY” is lettered at the bottom on a painted banner. It is strung on blonde jute twine with a faceted wooden bead painted red. I used acrylic paint over gesso, and sealed it with satin varnish, so it can be enjoyed for many holidays to come.

It’s approximately 3x3” in diameter. Upon request, your ornament can be customized with the year, a name, and it can be made-to-order if already claimed.

Please note it is entirely hand-painted on raw wood, so any imperfections add to its charm.
